Aerial filming for the worlds largest astronomy project!

Here at Dragons Eye Filming we have varied clients, one that is almost out of this world is the Square Kilometre Array. Once completed this will be the largest radio telescope in the world, their stats are impressive: They will be dealing with more data per year than the entire internet in 2012, that's over 30,000 DVDs of data....per second!

The HQ for this geek fest is based alongside the iconic Lovell telescope at Jodrell bank, Cheshire, UK.

The shoot in the Tweet below was shot in December 2017 and yes it was cold, -5 at the time of flying!

In order for us to be allowed to fly drones here (it's a long term project with them) we obviously had a lot of hoops to jump through. The site is also about to become a UNESCO World heritage Site, securing its iconic status further.

Contact to discuss and book your aerial projects, large or small, our drones cover them all.
